Taking into account the restraints imposed by the economic and financial environment at the national level, it is necessary to promote a rational use of resources, prioritizing the main action lines in the energy efficiency and renewable energies production areas thus guaranteeing the pursuit of a national sustainable strategy for these two areas that is aligned with the evolution of the economic and technological setting that shall mark the next decade.
The energy efficiency actions to be implemented shall cover all sectors of economy but priority shall be given to the most important energy consumption sectors with special emphasis on companies and transports.
On the other hand, investment on the implementation of smart systems since they allow obtaining a more adequate balance between supply and demand of energy to the grid, with consequent efficiency gains and the resulting economic and environmental advantages for the national electric system.
