The decision process concerning Call code POSEUR-12-2015-02 under the Urban Wastewater Treatment and seeking compliance with the Directive on the treatment of Urban Waste Water - Directive 91/271 / EEC of 05/21/1991 (DARU) is concluded. The Call in question had a period for submission of applications that took place between March 27 and August 31, 2015 and had a total of 22 applications submitted, of which 20 were approved, with a total fund of total allocated 68,985,908,08 €.

The beneficiaries of approved applications are Águas do Algarve, S.A., Águas do Norte, S.A., Águas de Valongo, S.A., Águas do Ribatejo, EM, Águas Públicas do Alentejo, Abrantaqua – Águas de Abrantes, EMARVR -Água e Resíduos de Vila Real, Agere – Águas de Braga and also the municipalities of Gondomar, Vila Nova de Paiva, Lamego and Peso da Régua.

This Call is part of the Priority Axis 3 of the Programme - Protecting the environment and promoting efficient use of resources in the Investment Priority 6.2 - Investments in the water sector to meet EU acquis requirements in relation to the environment and to meet investment needs in excess of the requirements identified by Member States with the specific goal of optimization and efficient management of existing resources and infrastructure, ensuring the quality of service to the population and the sustainability of the systems within the urban water cycle.
