Achieved were the goals set for the population on the service charge on the water supply side and high degree of approximation in the sanitation component, the new strategy moves now increasing coverage for a more efficient management of assets, its operation, quality of service and sustainability, both in Wastewater Sanitation either in the water supply, principles aligned in paragraph 1 of Article 94 of the Specific Domain for Sustainability and Efficient Resource Use Regulation (RE SEUR) approved by Ordinance No. 57-B / 2015 of 27 February.
Sustainability in the water sector is not only the economic and financial aspects of managing bodies of systems but to avoid the treated water waste, which does not reach the users, estimated at 40% in the urban sector in 2000 and in PENSAAR settled 20% as a goal to be reached in 2023. The knowledge base of any system and that should frame the interventions to get the best results, is information that the management authorities should have about the system, and this basic information for decision making on actions to develop or implement in the context of the infrastructure management. It is therefore important that PO SEUR uses the resources available on Axis 3, Investment Priority 6.2, in order to contribute to the objectives described.
For this lPO SEUR published the Call with POSEUR-12-2015-16 code for the preparation of registration of existing infrastructure systems in low water supply (AA) and Wastewater Sanitation (SAR), with potential beneficiaries such as local governments and their associations (including municipal services and intermunicipal Communities), the corporate sector of the State, the Local Business Sector and municipal, inter-municipal or intermunicipal companies.
