The expected support is aimed at the recovery or environmental remediation of contaminated sites classified as liabilities resulting from mining activities, geographically defined and currently disabled or abandoned, considered hazardous to public health and to the environment and safety of persons and property, and requiring urgent resolution.

This is the 1st Notice published by the Programme for recovery and resolution of priority environmental liabilities of industrial origin. Applications may be submitted through Balcão 2020 until 18:00 next November 20, 2015.
