The project by ANPC (National Civil Protection Authority) for the Acquisition of Individual Protection Equipment to Combat Fire in Natural Areas - Municipalities covered by Council of Ministers Resolution No. 101-A / 2017, of 12 July (affected by Pedrogão Grande fire) was approved today by PO SEUR.

This operation comes within the scope of the Call for Applications code POSEUR-10-2017-24, through which PO SEUR released 3.5 million euros of Cohesion Fund for projects aimed at the acquisition of Individual Protection Equipment and Operational Protection and Rescue Vehicles for firefighting. PO SEUR Management Authority complied with the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of July 12 that established the "emergency response measures to the fire on Pedrogão Grande area", directing a Call/Invitation to the National Civil Protection Authority (ANPC), the National Republican Guard (GNR) and the Humanitarian Associations of Voluntary Firefighters of the seven municipalities affected by the fire of June 17, aiming at strengthening the operational capacities and conditions of civil protection and prevention and risk management.
