A new Call for Applications destined for Investments in Wastewater Sanitation Infrastructures was published today with a view to resolving situations of inadequate treatment in low-density areas, with the code POSEUR-12-2017-26. The applications run until 6:00 pm on November 30, 2017. Within the scope of this Call, operations that fall within the scope of Article 95 (b) (i) of RE SEUR, covering "Waste Water Sanitation" infrastructures are eligible as indicated below:
(b) Wastewater Sanitation (SAR): Investments to reduce urban pollution in water bodies, with a focus on full compliance with the Directive on Urban Wastewater Directive - Directive 91/271/EEC, of 21-05 -1991 (DARU) in order to ensure the protection of the environment in general and of surface and coastal waters in particular from the adverse effects of urban wastewater discharges by building systems for larger agglomerates and increasing physical accessibility for wastewater treatment, including suitable solutions for small agglomerates.
The beneficiary entities that may submit an application within the scope of this Call are the entities that manage wastewater sanitation services and fall under subsections c) and e) of article 96 of RE SEUR:
c) Municipalities and their Associations
e) Local business sector
Operations located in all NUTS II regions of the Mainland, in accordance with Article 3 (1) (a) of RE SEUR, are eligible.
