PO SEUR published on March, 31 a Call for Applications/Invitation code POSEUR-12-2016-39 directed to Águas Públicas do Alentejo, S.A. for operations to improve the quality of water supplied in areas still with problems. Applications run until 18:00 of June 30, 2016.

This Call for Applications/Invitation, which has a maximum indicative budget of 30 million European Union funds euros, is designed exclusively for projects aimed at improving water quality for public supply in the Alentejo region.

This is an Invitation, which is directed to Águas Públicas do Alentejo, S.A, an organization that encompasses 20 municipalities of this region, which is intended primarily to support operations to improve the quality of water supplied in supply areas still in trouble.

Types of Operation

The operation type subject to submission of applications under this Call is provided for in subparagraph a) iv Article 95 of the RE SEUR, covering infrastructure "Water Supply" as shown below:

Water Supply (WS):

Investments to improve the quality of water supplied in supply still troubled areas, including improvement of the treatment process of water treatment plants (WTP) for compliance with the Directive of Quality of Water for Human Consumption, including removal emerging contaminants, anthropogenic or treatment products.

The typology in question is part of the Priority Investment (PI) 6.2 - "Investments in the water sector to meet the requirements of the acquis on the environment and to meet the investment needs in excess of the requirements identified by Member members", set out in the Operational Programme for Sustainability and Efficiency in Use of Resources.
