"ReDuna: Recovery and Ecological Restoration of S. João da Caparica Dune System", funded by the Operational Programme for Territorial Enhancement (POVT), has merit interest and recognition from the scientific and environmental community. Minuto Verde, issued on 28 September at the RTP television news in the morning was dedicated to ReDuna and passed several times throughout the day in different RTP channels.

The coastal section of S. João da Caparica is an area of ​​special susceptibility to marine factors, therefore this project, consisting of a set of integrated active coastal protection actions, intended to act in a structural and lasting way on forcers factors of vulnerability system that can be mitigated more directly, revealing essential for the protection of persons and property

This is an Almada Municipality project included in the Priority Axis "Environmental Systems and Prevention, Management and Risk Monitoring" of POVT in the Domain "Combating coastal erosion" which took place between 2014 and 2015 with a Community Funding Approved of € 248,910.

The coastal defense and protection actions will continue to be funded (through the Investment Axis II of PO SEUR) with Calls for Applications already open and others to open in the future.
