As part of the Integrated Strategy for Territorial Development (EIDT), a Call for Applications was released with code EIDT-99-2015-03 for submitting applications for Strategic Plans for Urban Development (PEDU), with closing date of 10 September 2015. In order to help beneficiaries (municipalities) in the preparation of PEDU, a new document with Frequently Asked Questions in the FAQ page was published FAQ | Theme 5 Abordagens Territoriais | PEDU in Portal 2020.
EIDT-99-2015-03 is intended for Municipalities of the urban centers, provided for in the Operational Programmes for the North, Centre, Lisbon and Alentejo, that if they want to mobilize for funding investment priorities (PI) provided the urban Axis of these OPs (sustainable urban mobility, urban regeneration and urban regeneration associated with disadvantaged communities) should develop a Strategic Plan for urban Development (PEDU).
The PEDU is the programming tool that will support a contract with the Urban Authorities. The PEDU should be the integrating element of the following planning tools that support each of these investment priorities (PI):
