It was published yesterday, August 25, Call for Applications / Invitation with code POSEUR-12-2015-22 directed to the Funchal City Council and Invitation to Funchal Municipality and Águas e Resíduos da Madeira, S.A for operations aimed at compliance with Urban Wastewater Directive (DARU) - Directive 91/271/EEC of the Council of 21 May, sanitation and wastewater for operations aimed at improving water quality and closing systems of the water supply in both cases only for the Madeira Autonomous Region (RAM).

The priority nature of these interventions is recognized and aim at solving serious environmental problems in order to reduce the level of pollution of water bodies, with special focus on compliance with the DARU as well as low investments aimed at the control and reduction of losses in the distribution and supply of water systems, the improvement of provided water quality in areas still in trouble and the closure of water supply systems in low, in order to optimize the capacity of utilization and renewal of water supply. To promote compliance with these assumptions the invitation is issued to the entities responsible for the resolution of the situations identified in an Annex to the Call for Applications.

Applications may be submitted through Balcão 2020 until 19:00 next December 31, 2015.
