The Operational Programme for Sustainability and Efficient Use of Resources (PO SEUR) met yesterday afternoon with the seven intermunicipal Communities (CIM) in the North Region and the Oporto Metropolitan Area (AMP).
These entities have Pacts for Development and Territorial Cohesion signed with this Programme. The goals of this meeting were to define the priority areas for the North region, taking into account the needs identified in these Pacts, Community funding for this year, and the inclusion of these concerns in the Calls for Applications calendar to launch by PO SEUR. It also included the definition of the practical aspects in the relationship between the CIM and PO SEUR Management Authority in stages as the preparation of Calls, the submission of applications and the implementation of nominated and approved projects, taking into account the results of the applications selection criteria.
Globally, the North Region will receive through PO SEUR about 5.6 million euros from the Cohesion Fund. This amount will allow the implementation of the territorial development strategy defined for each CIM and the Metropolitan Area, ensuring greater autonomy of these organizations in managing their projects.
