Call for Applications was published with code POSEUR-17-2015-26 for EDM - Development Mining Company, SA on the recovery and resolution of environmental liabilities of abandoned mines. The expected support are aimed at remediation or environmental remediation in contaminated sites classified as liabilities resulting from mining activities, geographically defined currently disabled or abandoned, considered hazardous to public health and the environment and for the safety of persons and property, and requiring urgent resolution, constituting priority environmental liabilities and that simultaneously have not been receiving the application of the polluter-pays principle, the principle of responsibility or have established a misdemeanor of cost internalization capability.

With this 1st Call for Applications Portugal 2020 follows up on the recovery of environmental liabilities of mining origin and intends to intervene in the following priority liabilities:

I. Environmental Recovery of Ancient Mining Area Urgeiriça - Final Phase

II. Environmental Recovery of the Old Mining Area of ​​São Domingos - Phase 1

III. Environmental Recovery of the Old Mining Areas of Castelejo, Formiga, Vale de Videira, Vales e Póvoa de Cervães

Applications must be submitted through Balcão 2020 until 18:00 of 30 November, 2015.
