PO SEUR Management Commission meets today with the Governing Board of the Regional Development Institute, IP for Madeira Autonomous Region (IDR, IP - RAM) for the preparation of its constitution as a Programme Intermediate Body.
The concept of intermediate body is established in Decree-Law No. 137/2014 of 12 September, as "a public or private body which acts under the responsibility of one or more management authorities or that exercises powers in the name these authorities, in particular with regard to beneficiaries implementing operations "and Section VI of the referred Decree-Law presents it.
According to the same document, it is a responsibility of CIC Portugal 2020 the approval of the list of intermediate bodies for the Cohesion Policy funds and with their skills, following a proposal of the managing authorities and the opinion of the Agency for Development and Cohesion, IP.
Since, for the period 2014-2020, the Madeira Autonomous Region will benefit from support from the Cohesion Fund through PO SEUR and, once the IDR, IP - RAM owns a wide and recognized experience and performance capacity in the management of EU funds, also being the Managing Authority for the Operational Programme "Madeira 14-20" financed by the ERDF and ESF under Portugal 2020, it is of manifest interest to maintain a complementary point of view to the one of the beneficiaries that access support from EU funds for the archipelago between 2014 and 2020.
