The 2015 Environmental Status Report (REA 2015) is the latest state of the environment assessment in Portugal and is from today available online for consultation or download. Published annually by APA, the State of Environment Report is prepared since 1987 and aims to assess the state of the environment in Portugal, recognizing the major progress and constraints in this area and identifying the position of the country in meeting the goals and targets assumed.

Call for Applications was published with code POSEUR-17-2015-26 on the recovery and resolution of environmental liabilities of abandoned mines. The expected support is aimed at the recovery or environmental remediation of contaminated sites classified as liabilities resulting from mining activities, geographically defined and currently disabled or abandoned, considered hazardous to public health and to the environment and safety of persons and property, and requiring urgent resolution.

PO SEUR published yesterday, August 25, Call for Applications with code POSEUR-17-2015-21. This is the 1st Notice published by the Programme for recovery and resolution of priority environmental liabilities of industrial origin. Applications may be submitted through Balcão 2020 until 18:00 next November 20, 2015.

The proposal presentation session of PNAC - National Plan on Climate Change, will be chaired by the Minister for Environment, Territory Planning and Energy and is scheduled to start at 15:30. The screening of the film " Tomorrow Environment - A green [r]evolution" telling the story of the environment in Portugal, will mark the opening of the SIGMA room in that same Ministry, at 17:00.
